Yea, keep that hat -- PT6 installer was less than 50 MEGAbytes, only grew to DVD size in PT8 because of AIR virtual instrument libraries

Mojave has apparently fixed some of the cpu throttling issues, and changed something on SSD handling (APFS). Just a heads up, waiting for supported PT

Well...

Mac is an easy choice, because you can just pick one from Avid's supported hardware list and that's it. Compared to similar PC it costs the same, but Apple don't sell the cheap stuff so...

good enough is always good enough.

i personally wouldn't mind if it worked with 1 sample buffer (which would mean spikes whenever i use lookahead plugins) or a sample buffer that is good enough...

well that's a good benchmark. but if it does work at 128 buffer (actually 256) at standard 44.1 sampling rate i would not complain much

128 at 44.1 has been the HD standard value for native processing, why would you want to track "faster" than that?

Yes, now. But when you find yourself needing 4TB or 8TB in a couple of years... have to buy another one instead of (then) relatively cheaper storage. But to each their own I guess

these are seriously great plugins, and if you like them please check out the pro expander as well ... to my ears that is the first gate since drawmer TDM and serato rane TDM that don't click with...

Too bad. For me the soldered storage is a dealbreaker. Don't actually mind soldered CPU but I am fairly sure in couple of years I need more terabytes than is affordable today.
