central folder for VSTplugins that apps can scan so i don't have vstplugins scattered about.

your correct about Windows apps often being snotty say, vs a MAC.

understood, i.e., for many apps, but not all.

i'm glad, band-n-a-box, reaper, steinberg, softube, etc., allowed me the option to install to drive of my choice. ;-)

thanks for your reply. i do have 3 drives, all ssd's. the OS/programs "c:" drive isn't full, just wanted to install PT somewhere else. it took up 651mb, not a big deal really, but the option would...
