I didn't upgrade the MB, just the Xeon CPUs as the price dropped.

My understanding is that memory speed hasn't been an audio processing bottleneck for a long time.

I strongly suggest using two system drives if you don't use a laptop. Rebooting into a second system SSD is stupid fast when something goes wrong.

Most numbers are meaningless because the real specification is floating point calculations per second. Intel has increased this with each new generation.

People do need to be aware that there was an older version of Dverb that was more efficient. I think the new one began with PT 10 but maybe it was 8 or 9. Anyhow tests made using old PT versions will...
