The first thing to remember is that AMD's FX architecture is actually only 4 floating point cores with 8 integer ones.

The other important thing is that in terms of future "proofing" the chipsets...

What DDR4 speed ratings did you get for your memory, and are you running it above x99's 2133 "limit"?

Just fyi: The Samsung 3840x1440 panel type also comes in a non-curved screen for around $900.
