Perhaps the best choice for mastering would be Masterlist Cd. And for simple backing up you would want to use Toast. Just one guys opinion.

I have had great success with the audio technica 4033. It is inexpensive and does exactly what I want it to do. I think it is a good choice. Cost is around $450.00.

That is correct. If you have a APG G4 you will need the dual channel ATTO card. The 2940 will not work with PT on the G4. I just went thru the upgrade a few months. Be prepared to spend some dough...
