Re: Big issues with USB-connection

It might be worth checking to see if the "Power Management" feature is turned OFF on all USB ports(Windows 10 updates often will reset that back to default, so its worth a look)

Re: 003, unable to set 96 kHz sample rate

We might need more info here:o The only causes of this that I know are:
1-Windows is using the 003(please double-check the Windows sound settings as updates for Windows, or for hardware drivers can...

Re: Using 2 USB I/O's with PT 12 ??

The problem(potentially) with Aggregate is, Pro Tools imposes a 32 IO limit(both in and out) so if it "sees" the X32 as the 32 IO, it may just ignore the other hardware completely. If this were me, I...

Re: Moving a word from one session to another

I usually export the clip as a file(same sample rate/bit depth as the source session). If I know where I will send it, and I name it(so its easy to find), I will export directly to the Audio Files...

Re: Mastering walkthrough?

Or buy Ozone 8 and use the master assistant. Since you're new to doing this, my suggestion is; keep it simple, don't get too fancy and don't over-think it:o

That probably bears explanation, so...

Re: plugins/ instrument tracks lost sound?

Set your MIX window view to include "Instrument". That adds a row across the top that will show actual assignment of where the midi info on the track is "going". I suspect maybe the assignment got...

Re: Best Method for Windows to Mac Session Move?

***YES YES YES....NEVER make changes during a project:D Good choice!!!

I move sessions between platforms a fair amount and its gotten really ALMOST foolproof, as long as your sessions are on any...

Re: Does this get me from PTHD 9 to HD 10, 11 & 12?

And also be aware that old hardware(HD cards) will NOT work past PT 10.x HD. The current PT ULTIMATE will work with HDN and HDX cards(from Avid) as well as most any 3rd party hardware that connects...

Only if you are listening to both input(pre-converter)AND the sound from Pro Tools. I would never do that:o

Re: If I want all Sends to be at -16 (or whatever), I do not see how to do it all.

Another way to get a -16 volume is to add a master for that send and lower the master to -16(with all the sends at -0). Ultimately, session templates made with this in place is the way to go. My band...

Re: Low Latency Monitoring question

I also think your rig should be able to track at the 64 buffer(hopefully, some tweaks will help). As a work-around for vocals, one way to lighten the load on the system would be to bounce the music...

Re: Digi 003 with 2019.5

I don't think you can. I'd recommend adding a simple midi keyboard of some kind.

I don't think the 003 has a HUI mode so don't count on that. Depending on what you need from the control...

Re: Windows 10 and M- Audio Fast Track Pro

My 2 cents....be careful with Audient. In the past, they have had some issues working well with Pro Tools(maybe they have it squared away now?). RME has the reputation of the best drivers of all and...

Re: ADAT signal does not show in PT'18

It may be a sample rate mismatch or bad clocking. The XL48 needs to be set the same sample rate as the session. How are things clocked? Normally with this hardware, I would feed wordclock FROM the...

Re: Windows 10 and M- Audio Fast Track Pro

I'm sure this isn't the answer you want, but I would move on from M-Audio for 2 reasons:
1-their driver support has been hit or miss for years
2-the only interface they made that could be...

Re: 003 Main Volume Pot

The pot is probably available(if you can figure out the value and taper) from Digikey. Having said that, you might also be able to get the part from an Avid-approved service shop(like...

Re: How to Copy multiple measures (multiple tracks) from 1 composition to another

This one gets a little complicated....

1-Start with the "source" session and Save As... and give it a new name(so you don't risk messing up the original source session).

2-strip out any/all...

I struggled with it for 3 months and finally gave up and returned the software and the 3rd faulty screen(Acer that was recommended by DT). Here's my 2 cents:
#1-When the screen worked, things were...

Re: Vocal Process Chains and Buses

Well.......what noise? Removing breaths can sometimes make a performance sound odd because breathing is a natural part of singing. Imagine Steve Miller's "Big Ol' Jet Airliner" without the breaths:o
