Re: Plugin Alliance have gone subscription

That was a predictable let-down on many levels.

#1: Deal of a Lifetime turns out to be nothing more than a subscription. Booo!!!
#2: Anyone else notice the heavy hitter prices on the new stuff...

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

I just got an interesting email. For those who bought pick-a-packers, um, I've never seen a promo do what this one just did. The only thing i can offer is to say congrats. I'll not spoil the email...

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

I saw the email on the bass amps come through.

Wern't you the one who had some bass rigs set up in 11R and shared via you site? I wonder how these compare. I could fire up the 11R. Been a while....

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

I would suggest to anyone to try the Ampeg Bass amps if the ever offer the UAD only version for non-UAD platforms. (assuming one is into their sounds, of course.) The B15N is very nice for me.

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

I just went to the site. What a let down. The excitement level he built up with lower prices thing took the air out of my sails on that one. I hope he's not going to start laying on the Guitar Fetish...

Re: ProTools price adjustments from July 1st.

Of course you are correct. My feathers get ruffled more and more when I feel as though I am pushed around, lied to and otherwise ripped off. BUT, it is only an extra $200 per year for a couple of...

Re: ProTools price adjustments from July 1st.

No, no, no no! That's how rich this whole thing is. The folks getting the shaft are the ones already paying the equivalent to the subscription fees already. The ones who are avoiding the fees...

Re: ProTools price adjustments from July 1st.

I need a sanity check. The verbiage scares me a bit and just want to make sure i am selecting the proper option.

I have two perpetual products. I need to buy renewals in advance to buy some time...

Re: 2019.5 is here!!

According to the list:
"CPU meters now more accurately reflect CPU load"

I hope that it means that the under-laying and related issues were fixed this time around. I could care less about the...

FabFilter - Big Sale

40% off everything. Audio deluxe and the FF site. The FF site has the special upgrading prices, too, for when a plug or more is already owned. Ad has that additional bit off thing.

Looks like...

Re: Drum VIs? Loops?

I've never narrowed down favored brand names of cymbals before, not to mention drums (toms, kicks or snares). I went onto the BFD site and poked around some of the kits and 3rd party expansions. Sure...

Re: Plugins making protools crash

To add to what Daryl Ramm has said already, I would try to take the Arturia plugin uninstallation a bit further. Look on their site for any sort of support section to see if there is any kind of...

Re: Pro Tools 2018.12 CPU Spikes

That would mean that (a) PT scans the 32-bit folder, or (b)a particular plugin's security code is checking the 32-bit folder as well and not liking something?

Re: Pro Tools 2018.12 CPU Spikes

I do a bit of system dancing every month or so and again especially with the bigger Windows version updates in October and April. Basically some combination of the following:

Scan for and Install...

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

The bx_dyn_eq is very much worth the $29 IMO. Very quick to get a single band up and going. The detection and reaction are linked or un-linked. I do get smoother results when the variables become...

Re: I had it with MBox 3 Pro drivers. Please suggest!

If you have any sort of electricity influenced signal noises on your incoming audio to deal with, I would highly suggest going the route mentioned earlier and get the Apollo X-series. That ended a...

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

The HG2 is one of the very few plugs I own that I feel fully confident enough to suggest to anyone. It would make my desert island top-x type of list.

I wish I had he time yesterday to...

Re: Drum VIs? Loops?

Out of curiousity, was there a big reason for going with BFD3 over some of the others, or just a random landing spot?

Treating like I would as if they were tracks from a real drummer is what I...

Drum VIs? Loops?

Is there a drum VI that's got less of a finished product sound than some of the other popular favorites? I use SD3 and have quite a few packs. It is a fine product and does have some behind the...
