i want to eddit a narrator voice
what's a good plugins for this how to used EQ,compressor, reverb and etc |
Re: narrator voice
Most of the time you should not work with any plugins at all to edit narrators. Just use trim and cut and the pencil tool. The rest should be left to the rerecording mixer because the recordings should be very consistent in sound and dynamic range throughout the whole movie. Of course you can make suggestions.

Re: narrator voice
If you really feel you need to make some adjustments before sending - I'd suggest the iZotope Nectar 3 Plugin. Be sure to watch their tutorials so you know how to use it. Less is always more. So for compression, it's best to do none before sending, but if you did: 2:1 would be on the safe side. On EQ, again less is more, but cutting is more common than boosting: Cut from 60Hz or so. You may need to slightly dip (a couple dB) in the 250Hz - 450Hz range if you are dealing with any boxy sounds, but that's about it.

Re: narrator voice
Also, you may have a free copy of ERA Voice Leveler sitting in your Avid products account. I've never used it, but its supposed to be for dialogue and narration. Avid offered it as a bonus loyalty reward as I recall.
