Can I open projects saved in Pro Tools 8 within Pro Tools 11?
Hi guys, I've always used Logic but am considering getting Pro tools so that I can bring home files from the studio and work on them at home within the same programme, rather than bouncing off all the audio files. I was hoping I could just save projects. The thing is that the studio uses Pro tools 8 and I guess I would be buying the new version; 11. I wanted to check before buying that things would be as simple as just saving a project in version 8 on one computer and opening it on another on version 11? Does anyone know?
Thanks, Jen. |

Fantastic thank you! I was also wondering whether there is anything else I should know when transferring from Logic to Pro Tools? Should my audio interface still work fine? I've got a new mac laptop and an imac both using motu ultralite audio interfaces (24bit wave files, 44100 sample rate).
Thanks for your reply. |

P.s. I don't actually know what the following means as I'm more of a beginner user. Hopefully sounds like it should work. Will look up the below though. Thanks.

(p.s. there's no issues with taking projects back to the studio as I'll just bounce waves out to take back to the studio, rather than try to open projects there). |
