Wish I had the money and the room ;)

This is the second big time console to hit the market in recent memory; last year Lenny Kravitz sold off the REDD console he had from Abbey Roads.

No argument there my friend.

I have to wonder though: why are these historic consoles up for sale? Once sold to someone else who's to guarantee they'll continue to live on? Reminds me of the justification the BBC gave for why we don't have the original tapes of some of the early Doctor Who programs. They found out you could reuse video tape and recorded over them. The only reason we even have some of the early Hartnell/Troughton/Pertwee programs is some kind person had them recorded somehow. Let's hope the console goes to someone who cares for it.

Or they could donate it to the R&R Hall of Fame:rolleyes:

That would be the nr one place to put it IMHO :o

Or sell it to someone like Dave Grohl who we know takes care of stuff and use the gear daily like the Neve Console he got hehe

I think the Foo Fighters sound would be awesome recorded on the TG 12345 console actually :-)

You mean the Rock and Roll Hall of Shame like Eddie Trunk calls it?

You know, I've never understood the fascination with these old consoles.

It's not like if you put it in another studio that you would end up automatically turning everything you recorded into the next mega hit. It's just a tool. The artist makes the music, not the tool.

Clearly, but that's a pretty cool tool
