File recovery

Using win xp pro, LE 6.4. I create session, save to external drive. then I take drive to 2nd pc running LE 6.4 and some tracks are missing. Appears that some randomly save to c drive on my pc. What gives??

Re: File recovery

Do you possibly have 'Round Robin' recording enabled in the Disk Allocation window?

I have this same problem, but only when usisng a template. It never happened it 5.3 though. Always check your file path. 6.4 will not always default to the session file.(On my system anyways)
And no, round robin is not turned on.
Hope this helps

Re: File recovery

Never copy files using Windows Explorer... open the session and use File->Save Session Copy In...

This will ensure that the disk allocation is reset correctly.

Kris, your issue is a Mac OS X issue... search the DUC for template for workarounds.
