Colour of tracks gets darker???
 

Hi,

something strange just happened.

I switched to the Mix window, did some stuff, then back to the edit window and the colour is "greyer" than before??? It´s as dark as I hilighted the whole session. When I really highlight something, it goes back to normal.

What´s that about? Actually it´s gone, I don´t know when or how, but what did that mean?

what do you mean? I don´t think the visible surface of ProTools needs to save itself energy^^.

The same thing happened just 2 days ago during recording. Also went away without any doing of me.

Please help, I think this happens for reason and I don´t wanna loose some stuff of mine.

If you could be a bit more specific, perhaps we could help?

What version of PT, OSX, etc? Could you provide a screenshot of what exactly is happening? Do you receive any error messages during/after?

If nothing is missing or corrupt... it could simply be a graphical glitch that most likely isn't doing any harm at all.

I´m running ProTools 8 on OS 10.5.8

Like I said, the screen looks like I highlighted the whole session with the selector tool.

But if I do highlight something, the highlighted section looks like it should look normally (brighter). This occured twice now and went away automatically. Once it happened during recording.


I´m very curious what this is. This song is full of plugins, some automation with over 30 tracks actually. Maybe that has something to do with it.

that would only be a case of if ur running out of CPU... U ned to get a screenshot b/c I don't think I've seen that problem posted b4 & as far as losing ur session, I don't think whatz happenin has any relevance to that...

well, just select something with the selector tool and you have the screenshot :). Nothing more special about it, I just can´t call that situation up as I wish since it appears randomly.

I get this from time to time. It seems random and I thin it is a bug that has to do with the relationship with selections and zoom level on the edit window. I posted a couple videos as an example. One video shows the bug appearing when scrolling and another video shows it when clicking to change the selection.
