question about software/hardware sale
 

I think I already know the answer for this but thought I'd ask, just in case...

I own a digi002 and pt8.
My pal owns an mbox and pt7

I'd like to get an mbox mini and my pal would like to get pt8. Since we both own PT licenses, can I buy the mbox and give him my new (unneeded) copy of pt8? Will he be able to upgrade it later?

does the equation change one way or another if I buy a used mini with pt8? (provided the original owner filled out the transfer of ownership form with me...)
