Artist Mix EQ Insert Lock
Hey all,
I know this is more a post for the Idea Scale (or the new Avid app, which I haven't had time to look at) - but I'm also hoping Eddie might see it here. I've been wondering about a solution for EQ Cycling with Artist Mixes - and thought that perhaps a solution might be the ability to 'lock' the EQ mode on Artist Mixes to a particular Insert Slot. That way, those of us who use common Inserts like channel strips can still have hands on control, even if we add a surgical EQ before it in an earlier slot. For example - if I had a Channel Strip in Insert E on every channel, I could retain control of that with the Artist Mix's EQ mode, even if I put an EQIII or Pro-Q in slot A. Would this idea appeal to anyone else or am I alone in this workflow? Cheers, T |
Re: Artist Mix EQ Insert Lock
I dig what you're saying. I have 3 EQs and 4 dynamics plugs in my dialog chain so I never bothered to get in the habit of the EQ and dynamics shortcuts on the Artist controllers, but there are one of each that get 90% of my attention during a mix, so I would happily learn those shortcuts if they would go to those go-to plugins.
