SC48, Venue 3.0 & Clicks
 

Hi,
I have just installed Venue 3.0 on our SC48. Everything upgraded perfectly.
One strange thing - on start up, there are a few more "clicks" that I think are from relays.
Have the power-on tests changed to do this?
Is this expected?

i have heard the same thing so i think the start up routine is slightly changed

Hi guys,

With the addition of the new Stage 48 (remote stage box for SC48) it's likely the startup timing has changed slightly. It's nothing to be concerned about.

Thanks Sheldon. Everything else I have tried so far works fine.
Most product upgrades arent worth the bother or the cost. Though Venue 3.0 introduces some real usable upgrades so well worth it. Great!

Pretty humble wording considering V3 turned SC48 pretty much into a Profile that costs over 2 times more ;)

Indeed! Just wish I has the money to go for an IO16 that would really boost things. I could have all of my FOH wireless receivers into that, freeing up the mic pres for stage inputs.

I just wonder if Avid regret using "48" in the name as lets face it, it's now really and SC64.

Your right, but there other systems on the market with higher input count who cost far less than an SC48. So V3 software was really necessary, especially for SC48.
