HD driver question for HDX, Mac Pro 2019

Hi,
I just received my new mac pro and i want to continue to work on my old setup while preparing the new one.

So a ( maybe) silly question...

Can i install the HD driver, Pro Tools and all my plugins before putting the HDX card in the new mac pro?

Or i need to have the card in the mac in order to have a proper inatallation?

You can install a HD driver on any system. Now, or later when you add HDN/HDX hardware.

Either way installing the driver or not won't change your current experience in any way.

Good to hear that!
This means that i can take my time to install and prepare everything on my new system while working with the old one without swapping the HDX card.
