why do i have trouble in respecting windows-first plugins? i have to however give it a try because it's a freebie. cannot argue with the value if it costs nothing

Any of you Windows users have any experience with iZotope?
I'm sure they are not Waves quality, but the distortion and mastering plugins looked interesting. Says they will be available for Mac soon.
Just curious if they are any good.

I have the Izotope plugins (Trash, Ozone, Spectron, Vinyl) on my Windows XP system - they're quite good, I wouldn't even say 'not Waves quality'. The Ozone all-in-one mastering tool is very handy. Trash is a versatile distortion tool, and Spectron is the kind of filter gadget I haven't gotten around to using.
I'm not crazy about their user interface - it's too futuristic, dark, kind of Star Trek-y. I'd prefer something cleaner and brighter. But for sound and flexibility, they're excellent.

I tried it in 6.1.2 and its giving me a DAE error...
Anybody have any suggestions? It sounds like a cool plug, I want it!

i fooled around with it using virtual pc. Its a very cool plug-in. Going to download the mac version now and see how it works. Thanks for the heads-up.

i used Windows XP for a while and i used this plug-in for all my lo-fi stuff. i much prefer it to the Funk Logic Masterizer, and it sounds better too. im glad they finally came out with a Mac version.

I think its a pretty cool plugin and its working fine in 6.4 here for me. Click on all four of the screws for something neat.
