Have you tried searching for the error in the Answerbase?

Re: error 6086 with an mbox

Uh, that's weird... I thought USB 2.0 could handle USB 1 devices
Anyway, thanks for sharing that with us.

So David,
Where did you hear USB 2.0 is not compatible with Mbox? Was this information from Digi Tech support?
I am just curious if this is a known problem, because I have searched for about 6 months now on Mbox
related problems, and have not seen that discussed? I wonder what one would do if all ports on your
computer are USB 2.0??

thanks,

Re: error 6086 with an mbox

I used an Mbox on my USB 2.0 ports with no problem. 2.0 is backwards compatible with 1.1 and 1.0.

Re: error 6086 with an mbox

I am having the same problem. I have a Pentium 4 Processor with Windows Xp and have yet to be able to play a complete song without getting the same error. Disabling Hyperthreading is not an option in my bios.

I don't think I have any USB 1.0 ports but I didn't think that would matter since I understand them to be backwards compatible.

I am still looking for solutions. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: error 6086 with an mbox

I am having the same problem, also 9129 and 9093 errors. But before a month or so ago everything was working ok for about a year, so this is more like a computer problem rather than a Digidesign flaw. I assume something changed in my system, registry, or configuration.
I've tried turning off the ethernet card, disabling firewall and virus software, and stopping a few services but so far no luck.
Also trashed Digidesign databases (what are they for anyway?).

Richard
