Cannot register new S1 and Avid support number for this is a private residence.
 

Hi all, I got a second Avid S1 as an open box from MusiciansFriend.com and it errors out when I try to register it. The link to the support help lists a phone number to a private residence which is really shocking given those poor folks said they get calls non stop. Two things here and maybe Eddie can do something about the updated number.

1. Does anyone have a working number for support that I can call. Each of the few I tried takes me to a recording which asks for an ASC account which I dont have. I just want to register my new S1.

2. If it just errors out, is it possible someone registered it and i would need to reset that and if so, can this be done if I have no idea if this was even done. I dont want this unit to be treated as used since it was sold to me as a open box new unit with full warranty.

This is the link from the "How do I get help registering" on the registration page. That 650 number for us is the one I called that they said is a home number.

Wow, that page is 10 years old ! Not sure how its still up, will ask someone to remove.

Please ask them to also update the hyperlinks on the registration page. Probably more than one is out of date.

Can you give me the exact URL of the registration page you are being directed to so I can have a look at those as well?

That registration page is also getting retired/redirected to https://my.avid.com/products/redemption.

I'll chat with the team about adding some relevant "Helpful Links" links to the redemption page or something similar.
