from d24 to mix

can somebody tel me how much more power a mix core have then a d 24
and how much more power a mix farm have then a dsp farm
please let me know

theres 6 chips on those cores and 2 of em will be used for I/O and mixing. mmmm, it's best to go the core route AND use dsp farms. the dsp farms in many cases are better than mix farms but ya still want a core system. or just ad a mix farm to a d24 card if ya got the d24 already and have pci slots.

i got a d24 card and 2 dsp farm cards but i can not use the plug ins i want i just need more plug in power
i don't know if i need to buy first a mix core or a mix farm
i just need to know wish one gibe me the most plug in power

get a mix farm then and that'll turn your system into a Mix system with 2 dsp farms for about 1k. got a free pci slot? dont give up a dsp farm, get a mix core to replace the d24 if you have to.

so i have to make a choice
what do you recoment then remove the d24 or a dsp farm

or get a 200 dollar pci chassis, the mix FARM, and a few more dsp farms for the price of that 2k core card.

I remember hearing this before...why is this?

I have a D24, 2 Mix Farms, and 1 DSP Farm running on a G4 1.25 single. I'm out of PCI slots, and sometimes wish I had more plug in juice...though not often..I can get quite a bit on my system as it is. Would you get an expansion chassis and DSP Farms over Mix Farms to get more plug in power, or get a Mix Farm and stay with the PCI slots I have? Thanks!

Since when are DSP farms better than MIX farms? DSP farms wont run many of the new plug ins and certainly are less efficient with mixer dsp than the MIX farms. They are cheap these days.
