Eleven Rack & Pro Tools 11 - Supported?
 

Anyone?

With the latest PTHD, 003 etc is now history stuff going on...
will Eleven Rack be supported past Pro Tools 10 or is the 11R going to become a Legacy Device…like 192s?

They're pushing 'em pretty hard right now.
Is there going to be an 11RX that makes the 11R obsolete?

All digital becomes obsolete the minute you buy it, I realize this…some faster than others though.

The 11Rack and new Mboxes should be supported for several more years. That's why they are not on the legacy/obsolete list. They are part of the "new generation".

Also, the Avid guys have mentioned that there's plenty more room inside for more Expansion Packs, so there's no worry there either. And these should be ready for 64 bit Protools like any of the other newer interfaces.

Eleven Rack will be supported. Eleven Rack was one of the few 'older' type I/O's that did not make the EOL/EOSS list. She will be around for a few more years yet. ;)

Speaking of the 11R - anybody get the email from Sweetwater about the more deals on Black Friday, click on the picture in the email and see they've chopped $150 off one? And it has the expansion pack and PT10. Sounds like a good deal to me.

ok now, this is what it says in the Whats new pdf of Pro Tools 11.. I just happened to buy a Eleven Rack and this is just dissappointing...

Your choice, if you want it install and run Pro Tools 10. Even knock yourself out, install both PT10 and PT11.

As Darryl said, just install both 10.3.6 and 11. You should have a PT 10 license included with your 11 iLok license.

You can use the on-screen editor in 10.3.6

I'm hoping they will port the on-screen editor soon, but I have no idea.

For what its worth, you do have the mini Eleven Rack window available in the top left of the edit window. You can't do everything you can with the full editor, but its better than nothing. You can still adjust parameters from the front panel.

There is an entry in the Window view pull down menu for the 11R in PT11 but it's greyed out.
