Channel 4 fader keeps going offline
 

I've been having an issue with my 003 control surface lately. Periodically, the channel 4 fader motor goes offline and does not respond to banking or moving fader with the mouse. When I close pro tools, the fader stays at the last online position while all other faders drop to the bottom. When I power cycle the 003, the fader works fine until it happens again.

Is it safe to say I need to replace that fader?

If you need it to work, I can't think of another option that won't cost an arm and a leg(given the average shop hourly rate):o I had a spare kicking around forever but tossed it out in the last move:(
