WELCOME TO NEWBIES on Windows - NEED HELP?

If you're new to Pro Tools then welcome to the DUC, a community for support, humour and in some cases ripping the hell out of each other. If you get that, then the best thing is to roll with it.

The AIR Users Blog offers lots of FREE videos and sounds, plus lots of other help, all of it FREE. This should get you going.

DTW any chance of a sticky on this?

Cheers
Russ

I picked up the software/hardware version that comes with the Fast Track USB on 9/15 at a Best Buy here in Austin. They didn't even know they had it yet.

I stayed home from work today and used it to get down some song ideas. Worked great and very stable. The built in proprietary plugins are all I need for a songwriting studio. It would be nice if I could use some kind of tuning software and Massey L2 on the master bus, but there is a pretty good selection of EQ and compression in the DigiRack plugins and the DVerb Vocal Plate works for me.

There's your slip mode.
