MBox Pro Driver Hardware Found
I have an MBox 2 Pro
I have a dual boot system. Partition one is Pro Tools with optimized Windows. Partition 2 is my cluttered Windows XP Media Center SP3. How do I make the "found new hardware" dialog box not put up everytime I load my cluttered windows partion? Is there an ASIO driver I can load on my non-Pro-Tools partion so the MBox Pro is recognized? If I knew what driver to install, I could even use the MBox Pro as my windows sound card in my non-Pro-Tools partion. What is the link to the current stand alone MBox Pro driver? |

This should be what you are looking for.

Thank you. That is what I was looking for.

Re: MBox Pro Driver Hardware Found
You could also install Pro Tools and just not use it. I had a PC running MCE 2005 and PTLE for years. It's where I would test new plugs etc.
MCE is not approved...It's not like installing PT will cause heavenly bodies to collide or your interface to catch fire. Usually:-) |
Re: MBox Pro Driver Hardware Found
That stand alone driver did not work. My MBox Pro has a yellow exclamation mark next to the hardware in the device manager even though I installed that driver. hmm. What do I do now?

Re: MBox Pro Driver Hardware Found
Uninstall the standalone driver and install Pro Tools.

Re: MBox Pro Driver Hardware Found
I found my problem. I had the Unibrain 5.21 ubCoreFlat driver for my firewire port and card. This is incompatible with my system. I uninstalled that driver and let the Microsoft default firewire driver control the firewire ports and then it was easy to get the Digidesign hardware to be recognized by the Digidesign hardware driver.
