Lost my eleven rack interface w/pt 10.1.2
 

When I turned on PT today it stopped and said there was an update so I updated to PT10.2.1 and now I don't have an eleven rack interface in protools. How do I fix that? The eleven rack works fine just no gui.

Reinstall the Expansion Pack, then do a repair of disk permissions, and finally reboot the system.

This is a common "problem" when updating your version of Pro Tools. The reason is because it is the Pro Tools plugin folder that contains the UI plugins for the Eleven Rack, and since 8.0.1 the UI plugins for the Eleven Rack contained in the PT install are the original UI plugins, not the updated plugins that come with the ERXP.

As stated above, you need to re-install the ERXP, but just the first section.

What if the expansion pack came already loaded on your 11R like mine?

Yep. Thats precisely why everyone now has access to the ERXP, as I mention in the article I linked to above.

You only run the first section of the ERXP. You won't be able to run the Firmware updater, nor do you need to, because you do not have the needed SN and ID codes that you receive in your avid account when you purchase the ERXP.
