Custom plugin map / multi-mono / jumps to L channel every time
Hello,
I am currently surprised by custom plugin maps on a multi channel aux. On my Dia aux, I configured a map for a multi-mono plugin. I want to have Center selected to see the processing. Every time I touch a fader (plugin map), it switches back to showing L (left channel). Anybody else seeing this? I remember this working a while back though (old plugin expand maps). Thanks for any ideas!! Andrew |
Re: Custom plugin map / multi-mono / jumps to L channel every time
Greetings,
The controls work, the identification of the correct leg for the automatic display of the window does not. Here's the current functionality: The last page of the chosen Insert Parameter maps (teal) should include the current channel and then MltiMono. Use the encoder to choose the channel (L, C, R...) Use the Sel switch to Unlink all When unlinked, use the In switch to link individual channels for linked control - such as L, C, R. If you open all legs and de-target you will see the functionality. I'll defer to Eddie on getting intelligence for Pro Tools to automatically choose the correct leg on encoder touch. Jeff |

I'm having the same issue as Andrew and I posted about it a while back. If I control the center channel of a multichannel plugin, the plugin's window shows the left channel regardless of the channel I am controlling with the S6. This is a major workflow killer. Please, please fix this soon! Thanks!

Understood. Yes, Eddie is aware of the issue. Hopefully we can get it sorted sooner than later.

Checking on progress on this issue. Can we expect a fix soon?

Re: Custom plugin map / multi-mono / jumps to L channel every time
This is also an issue when working in linked mode:
Let's say I am working on a 5.0 dialog aux, manually choose to view the C leg on a compressor (because thats where signal is coming through 90% of the time) and unclick the red target button of the window so I always view it. Now whenever I click the compressor on S6 to change its parameters on S6 it will open that window AGAIN, but this time with the standard left leg, covering the existing window that I would need to see. This is a strange behavior, because why would it open one plugin twice and not just bring the existing window to front while leaving the leg untouched... |

Yes, understood completely. I'll defer to Eddie on any timeframes for improved functionality.
best, Jeff |

That seems like a _much_ bigger problem that needs to be addressed from Pro Tools and not Eucon. It's a complete break in the paradigm which is clearly a bug.
