Midi Notes "grey"
 

Hey,
i know that some people have the same problem.
So i´ve done everything, but it´s still grey!
So i connected it new to the virtual instrument, deleted Pro Tools Pref,
Load a new virtual instrument, copy the notes to a new midi track.

Notzhing works!

Any ideas?
Setup:
Pro Tools 11.3.1
Mac OSX 10.14.6

The notes are probably muted.
Keep in mind that you're running a totally unsupported setup as PT 11.3.1 is only considered compatible up to OSX 10.10.3 although I had used it with OSX 10.12.6 with some issues. For example the import audio menu command won't work and you have to drag audio in from Finder. Here's a link to the compatibility chart: http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...tibility-Chart


Use PT 11.3.1 outside of the chart recommendations and don't be surprised to have problems.

Hi, so now i have Pro Tools Upgrade, but i have the same problems.
The midi notes are grey.
i´ve copied the notes to a new track
replaced the Virtual instrument
new routing

nothing!

Are you using instrument tracks or what? With an instrument track there's nothing to route anywheres as regards MIDI. The notes are either muted or don't have a proper routing to them if you're using separate tracks for the MIDI and vi. And if you are using instrument tracks to host the vi & MIDI in the edit screen enable instrument view and check that the MIDI is being routed to the vi on said track.

Maybe post a picture of your screen so we can see what you actually are doing.

I have UJAM Virtual Instruments.
I have an Midi Track - there are the Notes
Out goes to the Instrument
the instrument is on a intrument track.

It works some days bevore. i don´t know why it doesn´t work now.
nothing changed.

You're doing this all wrong. The vi goes on an instrument track and the MIDI goes on that same track. No need for separate tracks which is probably what's causing your problem.

Hi,
you know that there are more than one way to work with midi?
But Ok, i will do it your way.
you can see it in the picture, that i have copied the notes to the intrument track.

It works not!

so again:
It worked 10 Days bevore. i´ve done other Tracks an now i opend this track an it will not work. wothout changes!

Open the Instrument View in the mixer view and see that your assignements have changed. Set it up again and it will be good. This is a known bug.

Hey, i ve done it many times - no changes.
See the pictures.
It doesn t work with cpoy on a new intrument or on a midi track.

Okay then.

Just accept that perhaps your unsupported configuration has made this bug worse than it is. If you are running 11.3.1 the max.supported OS is 10.10.3 and if you are using 10.14.6 the minimum PT version you need would be 2019.5

Downgrade OS or upgrade PT, then try again.
