Missing all virtual instruments

I just purchased and installed an Mbox with Pro Tools Express from my local retailer and it seems as though I am missing the three virtual instruments that come along with the software.

Boom, structure free and Xpand!2 all seem to be missing. I can't find them anywhere, unless I am looking in the wrong spot.

I looked under AudioSuite and can only see the normal plugins.

I had to download the software install file from the Avid site, but there were and aren't any links to these instruments.

Anyone know what's going on?

Add a new stereo instrument track, then - in the mixer:
Inserts A-E drop-down box/multichannel plug-in/Instrument/Xpand2

This is for PT10 - not sure whether it's the same for PT Express.

If you haven't installed the instruments, you may be able to download them.
I usually find the downloads by looking at Avid Audio Forums/Announcements/Technical Alerts.

Thanks for the reply.
I just tried that and I have no Instrument section in the multichannel plug-in.

Where can I download them from? I can't find them in the link you posted.

Thanks.

Re: Missing all virtual instruments

I found this from the Avid Community Administrator:
Pro Tools Express is not automatically included in Pro Tools updates - separate work is required.

The Pro Tools Express Installation Guide mentions the download of a separate installer for the Virtual Instruments.
http://akmedia.digidesign.com/suppor...stallation.pdf
Pages 2 and 4.

Is this installer in the Download section of your account on the Avid site?

Well this is embarrassing. I completely forgot I had downloaded but not installed the separate Virtual Instruments installer.

Thanks for the help.
