Connecting Lynx and 96
 

Hy, I'm working on a HD2 system connected to two Aurora Lynx with the LT cards. The sistem see it as 4 192 for a total of 32 out.

I'm mixing on an Amek Galilelo and I'd like to add a Digidesign 96 interfaces to reach 40 channels.

I connected the 96 to the expansion port of the second lynx. Withe the lynx in 16ch mode or 32 mode I'm not able to reach 40 channels.

Does anyone knows how I need to connect?

Aurora has too much io to allow connection off expansion , so you need to run the 96 direct to the 2nd hd card !

So I ned to to do lie this:

Hd core connected to one Lynx, the second Lynx connected on the second and the 96 straight to the accel card,

is it right?

Unfortunately you won't be able to run two Aurora16s in advanced routing mode AND add in a 96 i/o unless you have at least an HD3 system. Each Aurora16 takes up all the possible i/o on an HD card (core or accel).

32 channels of i/o is the max per card and in advanced routing mode (the way you need to run an Aurora if you want delay comp to be perfect) you have 16x16 analog AND 16x16 AES/EBU digital per Aurora16 (that's 32x32 half analog/half digital).
