Can Control stay active when PT is in the background?
 

One way that I use PT occasionally is to monitor different sources during a session. This is on my laptop (Macbook Pro), which is not the main recording rig.

During the session I use the laptop for several other tasks in other apps. I'd like to use Control on the iPad to be able to grab a fader once in awhile, but I'm finding that when PT is not the foreground app, all the faders de-populate from Control.

Is there a way to keep Control active when PT is in the background?

In the EuControl app on the computer, open the EuControl Settings window and go to the Assign tab. At the bottom you can lock the iPad and any other surfaces to Pro Tools. You can also lock just the monitor section of Control independently of the Surfaces.

You have to have Pro Tools open first, then go directly from Pro Tools to EuCon and make the assignment.
