Great deal on DVD recorder
 

Those of you who need an internal DVD drive to backup your sessions - I saw an ad today for a local "office" supply store with "racks" of read/write DVD +R or -R recorders for $39!!! Not staples, but at "Office _ax"

This is after the IN-STORE rebate of $100, no mail-in. It comes with Roxio basic for CD & DVD burning as well. AND they have the DVD-R or +R write disks, 10 for $7.99, or the RW DVDs 10 for $17.00

I stocked up, and I am backing up my files now. Now I just need to figure out what to do with the Toshiba CD-rom burner I bought for $49 when I built my computer (no room for it inside anymore).

Thats a pretty sweet deal on those indeed. I actually got mine for free from freecycling believe it or not (freecycle.org), but I would either ebay the old one or give it away to friends or family that don't have one with the cd burner I guess. *shrugs* Do they have any good deals on external hard drives also? I am looking for a good 180-200 gig one to connect via firewire at the moment. I would really like to find a good deal on a firewire/usb 2.0 compatible one.
