PT 11/12 coexist?
Can PT11 and PT12 coexist as PT10 and PT11 do?

Re: PT 11/12 coexist?
Probably not, and there would be no reason for them to.

Re: PT 11/12 coexist?
From FAQ:
Q. Will I have to surrender my old license when I upgrade to Pro Tools 12? Will I lose my Pro Tools 10 license too? A. You will need to surrender your old licenses, but you will receive a new license bundle that contains Pro Tools 12 (when available), Pro Tools 11, and Pro Tools 10, so you can still use the older versions. |

Re: PT 11/12 coexist?
Given that we're a few months (guessing) from 12 being released, I bet something like this hasn't been tested much by Avid yet.

Re: PT 11/12 coexist?
I would not put any money on being able to have 10 or 11 & 12 on the same system disk

Re: PT 11/12 coexist?
I'd presume that 10 can coexist with 12, but not 11 with 12. Reason: different install paths/directories (10 and 11/12). My assumption only.

Re: PT 11/12 coexist?
The main reason is, as you already know, that PT11 has some problems due to graphics and it has slowed down a lot, so I don want to hose my current decent working PT11 with a more buggy and sluggish PT12.

Re: PT 11/12 coexist?
I look at it this way. If 12 is more buggy, their phone support ines are going to absolutely explode! It's a whole new ballgame from what has come before.

Re: PT 11/12 coexist?
512 MB is to small video card since 3 years ago, and pro tools 11/12 can't co-exist in the same system because is almost the same. pro tools 10/12 can co-exist, only for difference between RTAS/AAX plugins
