Can't get AKAI EWI 4000s to play with PT 12
 

I recently upgraded my laptop (a Mac runnning OS sierra) and purchased Pro Tools 12. I used to have no problems using my AKAI EWI 4000s midi wind controller with my old set up (Mac running OS X Yosemite and PT11) mostly to play virtual instruments, but I can't get a sound out of my new setup. I have an audio interface with midi, and my EWI is plugged into that. I can play back old PT sessions with my EWI, but I can't put down an instrument track in PT12 and record. It works ok when I plug it into a digital amp and play its native sounds. My EWI dates from 2006. I have the disk that came with my EWI, but I couldn't load any of the files because "Power PC apps are no longer supported." Anyone with experience getting an AKAI midi controller to work w Pro Tools 12?
