Authorization code to validate 7.0 never ask for.

When launching Pro Tools LE 7.0 the first time,
i was never prompted to enter an authorization
code to validate your software.
7.0 did start up and i messed around with a session.
I did delete 6.7 before i installed 7.0. I also research this but i am not coming up with anything.

I noted this when I installed also. I uninstalled 6.9 and had my Auth code ready when starting 7 and to my surprise It never asked me.

Me think DIGI make mistake

I had the same thing when I installed 6.9. I believe it's because an existing authorization exists in the registry.

I've installed the software three times. On the first, I had access violation messages when opening sessions (No auth request). On the second, it could not find my 002R (no auth request). On the third installation, it asked me for the authorization code.

What platform was everyone on, Mac or Windows?

Did everyone have a prior install of PTLE on their computers?

Just trying to make some sense of all this. Thanks!

Okay, so it's a Windows forum. But I was wondering if anyone was seeing this on Mac.

Also, did everyone have PTLE v6.7 installed at some point before upgrading to v6.9 or v7.0?
Are all of these issues with Digi 002 and Digi 002 Rack, or is anyone using Mbox or Mbox 2?

Yep... i had 6.7 with SP1 installed and i am using 002R. For me 6.7 ran perfect and now since going to 7.0 and installing SP2 it seems sluggish. Slow screen redraw and losing midi connection with motormix. I guess i have to research some more. Ughh! I just want to create music!

went from 6.7 to 7.0, no auth code requested. 7.0 works very well, noticeable improvements on virtually everything tried so far. and this is on a relatively cheap, low end dell 3000. opened up a dozen or so existing 6.7 sessions, saved as .ptf, re-opened, etc. flawless so far. KUDOS to digi, it finally appears they've gotten it right the first time, at least for me. mucho happy here.
