002 + 2 x Eleven Rack's all in the same Pro Tools 8 session?
 

Hey!

Does any one know if I can run say a 002 + 2 x Eleven Rack's all in the same Pro Tools 8 session to increase my input and out put options?

No, you cannot use 2 interfaces at the same time for input/output. The eleven rack can be hooked up to the computer while using the 002/003, but will not pass audio. It will only allow you to access the eleven rack control window on the screen.

Agreed. Protools has always only allowed one interface for the audio. The 002/003 family have the maximum inputs (18) available to this date. 8 analog, 8 ADAT digital optical, and 2 SPDIF digital coaxial (RCA). Are you already maxing out these 18 inputs?

Just curious here, couldn't at least 1 Eleven be put in standalone mixer mode and hung off the adat of the 002?

Well, Eleven Rack doesn't have an adat port, so the only option is spidf.
