It runs on the iPad Pro now. What exact model and what exact issue do you have?

I though (but do not know for sure) Pro Tools Control works fine with all models of the iPad Pro. Personally I have the current 10.5" iPad Pro.

Are you talking about the Control software or Dock? That is a very different question.

Control software, on the website it says 12" iPad pro is not yet supported. I'm thinking of pairing it with an S3.

It is working on the 12.9" iPad (used it some time ago) but only in landscape mode so it is not compatible with the PT Dock. A future software update to portrait mode would be killer though. You could for example have the channel and soft keys view open at the same time. But unfortunately, I think this won't happen any time soon. As Eddie mentioned in another thread some time ago, the whole PTcontrol app would need to be recoded for that purpose..

Thanks for the info everyone, I'm just trying to decided if I want to make the investment for now. I'm hoping my facility will upgrade to an S6 sometime, but in the mean time I am going to be working on a S3. A friend showed me the control app on his IPad and I got really interested in how it would help with my work flow paired with the S3.

In my humble opinion: if you've already spent the money on an S3, you're nuts if you don't get the Dock to go with it. And in that case, get an iPad that fits the Dock.
