Pro Tools 12.5 Unexpectedly Quits
 

Since upgrading this morning, Pro Tools 12.5 often unexpectedly quits when closing a session. I think I've traced it to the Sonnox Oxford EQ plugin (version 2.0.6) that I use frequently. If I create a blank session, I can add tracks, save, and close with no issue. If i try to add the Oxford plug (native or HD), I can't close the session without protools unexpectedly quitting. In fact, if I even remove the plugin from a track, the same thing happens.

I'm running a newly-upgraded (not a clean install) 12.5 on El Cap 10.11.3, Mac Pro Hex Core 3.33 GHz (2010), 16GB RAM.

Anyone else having this issue?

Same here though I am on 10.12.5 Recorded one track and it just quit out of the blue. Will delete prefs and data bases and see if that helps.

Get this app for deleting prefs etc if you don't already have it.

the last poster said it was a plugin .. are you seeing this happen if you move all your plugins to the unused folder ??
