002/003 Mountain Lion 10.3 driver?

So I see the driver has been updated for the Mbox line for Mountain Lion and 10.3 but the 002 and 003 are notably absent so...If you have a 002 or 003 you should wait until new drivers are available before moving to mountain lion and 10.3, correct?

Will there BE updated drivers for 002R's? or has it reached the end of it's life with Lion? Is it time to "upgrade" to an MBox Pro? or is it time to think about the new (and rather expensive) lighteningbolt option?

any thoughts...

Yes good question. I have an 002R with a blacklion signature series upgrade

I have purchased PT 10 but worry about drivers not only for the 002R but my other devices like keyboards.

I am using the latest available driver for my 002r with ML and it works fine, 0 issues. I think the driver was updated sometime last year.

I've been using my 002R with Lion and PT 10.2 with no issues... my question is about 10.3 and Mountain Lion.

Hey guys!
Recall reading some thing few months maybe more back about avid no longer supporting or supplying driver updates for the 002/003 series after the last update they supplied. As far as these working in mountain lion they work 100% fine on my side running 10.8.2 , BUT i am 90% sure that whats on the avid website will be the last of updates for our beloved 002/003's:mad:

Yep. The 002/3 are EOL'd. There won't be any further development of the drivers. However they could still work. But when the day comes they don't, there'll be no fixing them.

That said I replaced my BLA HD mod 002 with some metric halo boxes and haven't looked back. There are companies out there that done EOL their products. ;)

I am looking at the Apollo or the UFX right now.

Don't look past Metric Halo. Seriously. I don't have any affiliation other than a user. But they sound great and have built in DSP. Can be a lot more than just an interface. The Apollo does look nice, but I'm not changing.

And just for reference. Their original interface, the now 10 year old 2882, is still fully supported and completely relevant. Not many companies can claim that kind of longevity out of their products.

That said there are lots of great options out there. Happy hunting. :)

I can Double the mh experience. Just got some of their boxes, because HDN is still not working after a year and every possible trouble shooting. Installed a connected the mh stuff and now everything runs stable and without a single issue. And they sound a lot better than the avid hd I/O.

The 002/003 will not be supported past PT10. But PT11 is not out yet, so therefore they should be supported with this latest update, because it's still PT10.

If they are not, it raises a suspicion, that maybe we are closer to PT11 than we think!
