Installing PT 7.0 No Auth Code

Good day fellow ducs and duckettes,
I need to install PT 7.4 (long story) which I have the asset for on my iLOK. When I try to start PT it says it cannot find the authorization on my ilok.
Avid seems to be ignoring me as well as Pace. My wife must own both of those companies :-)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Have you installed the ilok drivers? or the new ilok manager?

What version exactly of PT are you installing

What operating system?

Need more specifics. What exact version of PT 7.4?

Pro Tools HD 7.4 (which requires an iLok license and an HD hardware system)
or
Pro Tools LE 7.4 (which requires an authorization code and a compatible Pro Tools LE audio interface)

HD. I no longer have the hardware (HDX now) so I suppose I need to take a trip to ebay? If that is the case do I need both the card and interface or will then interface suffice?

For Pro Tools HD 8.x and below, an Avid Pro Tools|HD (TDM) hardware system is required to use Pro Tools HD software:
  • A Pro Tools|HD Core card
  • A qualified Pro Tools|HD audio interface
You may be able to use a third party audio interface that is recognized as an Avid HD audio interface. But you would still need the Pro Tools|HD Core card regardless, in addition to the audio interface.

Also, see the grid for Mac OS X versions for Pro Tools HD 7.4 on this page:
