Upgrading from PT9 to 11 on Macbook Pro with OS X 10.8.5
 

I've just purchased a new(ish) 2013 Macbook Pro with OS X 10.8.5. This is the older non-retina model with the super drive, 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7. I was bit nervous going to the newer (10.9) OS from what I read.

Today I was about to buy a new Mbox3 Pro bundled with what I thought was PT11. The disc inside is still PT9. I've read that I will firstly need to install 9, then 10 and then upgrade to 11.

My question is this; will I have firstly have any problems with versions 9 and 10 on my machine before I can get to 11 given that I have a fairly recent OS?

NO, DO NOT INSTALL 9. All installers, are full installers there is no need to wast time and hassel installing non-approved software.
