Multi-Track Editing
I would like to know is there a way to edit & sync to tempo a live recording of Drums, Bass, Keys, & etc like in Cubase 6? I've search & couldn't find anything. If so can someone please give me a simple way of doing it. I really appreciate it so much,

Re: Multi-Track Editing
There are several ways. I haven't used Cubase but I assume it's ... different. :p Read in the manual about Beat Detective and Elastic Audio. Those are probably two of the most convenient ways to conform audio to a grid.

ok, Thanks daeron 80... The manual is loaded in protools 9 software, right?

Re: Multi-Track Editing
Generally, you read the manual (or at least fake it) and then ask questions.
Asking where the manual is after you ask questions will not endear you to this crowd... |

Re: Multi-Track Editing
Do a search for some of my older posts about tempo mapping. I went into detail a few different times on putting a grid to "free time" music...Hope those can help..

Hah! We try to be gentle with those whose number of posts is in the single digits. Some of us do. :D
The manual (Reference Guide, they call it) can be accessed through the Help menu. If it's missing from there, it can be downloaded. |
Re: Multi-Track Editing
There's a great tutorial video by Russ at the airusersblog that shows how to map tempo to music that has no click. Between that and the suggestions already given, your head should be turned to mush pretty soon. Rome wasn't built in a day, and PT isn't learned in a week(or mastered in a month)

I'm going to check out the video while my wife is cooking dinner, lol. Thanks again... |
