Guitar tuner for Pro tools

Is there a Chromatic tuner for Pro tools 8 and how do I get to it? Thanks, Windows 7

Check under Audio Suite-Other. It is called BF Essential Tuner. At least that's where it is for PT 7.

Actually, now that I checked, for some reason the tuner doesn't show up in AudioSuite. Open up a session, go to the mix window, go to the inserts section, click on up/down arrow and a pop-up menu will come up. Scroll down to "plugin", then another pop-up menu comes up and scroll down to "other". That is where the BF Essential Tuner (mono) should be. click on it and the tuner should now be an active insert on the track.

Because it would be impossible to use as an Audiosuite plug, needs to be real time.

Actually BF Tuner is very old and not that great.

BUT, there is a much better tuner in Protools, called In Tune (used to be called TL Intune). It should show up in the category of "other".

It's a fantastic, very accurate tuner, that can be stroboscopic or other methods as well.

Good call.
Since the original poster is on Pro Tools 8, they would want to try the original TL InTune you mentioned, part of these plugs:
TL Utilities Downloads
(The newer renamed "InTune" is AAX only)

Sweet! I don't have any "other" tab tho, I am using Pro tools SE, very basic version, maybe it does not have it? I've been looking all over the internet.

So you gave Pro Tools 8 SE not Pro Tools 8. Huge difference. This is why its useful if you say right up front what exactly you have.

Pro Tools SE does not allow use of additional plugins beyond what it ships with. It was an unfortunately horrible product crippling decision by Avid

Really? Kinda makes sense cause I have another thread going asking how to use plugins and I can't get any of those plugins to work, but no one has mentioned that on the other thread.
