Playback goes past the end of selection

Hi, I had this problem for a while I've been living with -

If I make a selection of audio on an audio track, and I hit play to listen to the part I selected, it plays back just past the end of my selection.

To clarify: Lets say I select a portion of the audio just before a snare. When I hit play, it will play past the end of the selection and play a little bit of the snare attack.

I can verify it is playing back too far by copying the same selection and auditioning it separately on another audio track, or in the Clips window, in which case you do not hear the snare attack at the end.

Post-roll enabled?

You know, its very possible that was it, but when I went to check just now the post-roll light was lit but the value was zero and right now problem is gone.

Whatever the case thanks for your help. That is another feature I was not aware of.

Re: Playback goes past the end of selection

Not sure anyone will see this post (maybe I should start a new one?)..

So I am having this problem again:

If I select part of a waveform and play it, it plays past the end of the selection.

Example lets say there is some background noise then a clap sound. I can select up to the clap sound (not including the clap) and play it and it will play part of the beginning of the clap sound.

Now if I copied that segment and pasted it onto another track, and auditioned it, no part of the clap would be heard.

And its not preroll I made sure that its turned off.
