PT 11.2 Hangs when activating send
 

This is happening alot here. Activating a send. I get a swod and must force quit. Spent the day updating all plugins and reinstalling ProTools 11.2. It doesn't happen every time but quite frequently. Also activating tracks that were inactive are doing this at times.

Hmm I've done all those things for the last few days... so Must be something with your system or something.

Possibly. I can't figure this out. It is still locking up my session. I try and activate a send and swod forever. I have tried all troubleshooting.

I too am dealing with this. I might just go back ti 11.1.3.

I made a new very small basic session with 20 blank tracks and 2 sends on each track. I made 2 stereo AUX tracks for FX returns. I deactivated all the sends. I would then randomly activate a send on a track and I get the SWOD. Must force quit. Its a bug.

I went back to 11.1.2 and this isn't an issue any more. 11.2 seems buggy to me. Figures.

I can confirm similar, or at least related, behavior. For me, reactivating an inactive audio track hangs PT 11 HD (v 11.2) about 90% of the time. SWOD, force quit, relaunch/reboot. Timeline is fully cached before doing anything.

FWIW my workaround for reactivating tracks is to duplicate the inactive playlist, create a new audio track, select "other" playlist (the one prior to duplication), and then I'm good to go without SWOD.

I tried all the usual stuff like trashing prefs, databases, etc., and I repaired permissions & zapped PRAM. Moved my "new" plugins (Exponential Audio Phoenix Verb & R2) to unused folder--no improvement.

I've noticed that after each force quit, my external clock setting reverts to internal. Coincidence? Further, changing the sample rate on Playback Engine or Hardware Setup windows will hang PT 11.2 HD at least 50% of the time.

Has anybody else seen this and found a solution? Both issues are new to 11.2 for me.

System info: Mac Pro 4,1 Nehalem. OS 10.8.5. Crucial M4 SSD. 20 GB RAM. PTHDX 11.2. Avid Artist Mix, Eucon 3.1.3. Apogee Big Ben. 4x Lynx Aurora 16. UAD2 Octo PCIe. Plugins are up to date.

Reactivating an inactive track would also hang for me as well. Basically it was activating anything that was inactive would give me a SWOD and hang.Sends,Plugins,tracks.

Are all those having problems on 10.8.5??

I'm experiencing the same issue. Running 10.8.5 with co-install of 10.3.9 and 11.2 - Same crashing issue. Moved back to 11.1.3 for now.

Tried everything in the way of troubleshooting.
