No sound
 

Hi,

I'm having a problem with my system and am hoping someone can help.

My interface is M-Audio MobilePre and I have Windows XP. I have installed the Driver and Pro Tools SE software that came with the interface.

The problem is that there is no sound. When recording there is no fluctuation of the indicator light on the interface or the monitor, and no fluctuation of the wave indicator. Also there is no sound on playback, confirming that nothing has been recorded. There is a response from the metronome, and some response when I fiddle with connections and controls, but only briefly.

My microphone is not a condenser type and no doubt suspect (it's a Sonken MP-702). However, I have the same problems when I plug in an acoustic guitar.

I would be grateful for any assistance.
