ERROR Could not complete your request because Assertion in /Volumes/Development...

1 Attachment(s)
When trying to open this OMF or importing the session data, I keep getting this error:

Could not complete your request because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/151228/ProTools/App/MacBuild/../PtSess/PtAAF/PtSess_Iop.cpp", line 249.

I've looked around on forums and can't seem to find a solution; I've tried changing playback engines, and other OMF's work perfectly fine.
While the OMF .txt shows no errors during export, we have been having problems exporting an OMF for this session all day, so could this be an error on the editor's end or is there something I am doing wrong?

Please help!

(Running PT 11.3.1 on Macbook Pro 2010 15inch 8GB RAM 500GB HD Yosemite OS X, MBOX 2 Pro Interface)

I know this probably won't help you but I had nothing but problems trying to run PT11.3.1 on Yosemite a while back. Unstable for production work so I'm using OSX 10.9.5.

Yeah I've had a few bugs myself but nothing too detrimental; this is the first I've seen this problem, and the first problem I've come across that I can't seem to solve.

Re: ERROR Could not complete your request because Assertion in /Volumes/Development..

I have similar issues with my Pro Tools HD 12.8.1 when importing OMF file sent by the Video Post house. Here is the error:

"Could not complete your request because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/Code/203409/ProTools/App/PtSess/PtAAF/PtSess_Iop.cpp" , line 255."

I will update you when there is any answers. We will normally request Video Post house to re-export multiple OMF with lesser tracks to find fault.

Updated...

- We requested Video house to re-export multiple OMF files with lesser tracks in each OMF
- One of the OMF had the same error message, though the rest of the OMF files can be imported into Pro Tools. We were able to pin point the track which was causing the problem (error)
- To make the story short, the video editor removed crossfades from that particular track before re-exporting the OMF with that track ONLY, and we were able to import the OMF file without any problem

Hope this helps.
