Pro Tools 11 Digi 003 Low Latency Monitoring Issue
 

I have encountered an intermittent problem using low latency monitoring in Pro Tools 11. When I go into Low Latency Monitoring mode, my main monitor output is muted so that the engineer or headphone feed can't hear anything. If I go out of low latency monitoring, audio is then audible.

According to Pro Tools help, this is customary behaviour for Core Audio or ASIO hardware that don't have a built in mixer but not for the 003 Rack.

Any help would be appreciated

I have this same problem with my two 003R and Mac OSX 10.8.4.

I also have the problem of overloading the CPU (20-30% more) when I use the 003R or 003R+.

Avid has never solved both problems.

Mine appears to be intermittent insofar as after a period of use the low latency monitoring operates normally. I haven 't been able to identify what triggers the LLM between working and not working.

Also, I have an issue with PT11 hanging on the Initializing Controllers phase of launch. Also related to Digi 003. Thus far, also unsolvable by Avid.

And not to get off topic but don't get me started on video problems

Running 003 here as well. LLM has been broken for me, off and on, since one of the LE8 versions(can't remember which). I just stopped using LLM at all(besides, I want to use plugins and AUX sends during tracking). Small PITA, bit I get by with tracking at the 64 buffer setting, and disabling any high-latency plugins:o

Same here. I could never get low latency monitoring working with my 003 rack. I moved over to an RME UFX about 10 months ago and their Total Mix app works perfectly, pretty much zero latency. Hardly any hiccups (occasionally have to re-load my set up) and super flexible to use!

Same here with Saffire 56 - Mix Control - I have a hardware reverb - and a mix of di boxes and drum audio (I record midi drum but monitor the audio. Out) - and my 11rack

Sure it's not HD - not a 12 track neve but it works great for now

Thanks I'm looking at moving to the saffire pro 40. Does anyone know if it will play with pt 11. ?

Pretty sure all the Focusrite stuff works well(and I would put the Saffire boxes near the front of my list as well):o

Dear All,
It's same to me with PT11.0.2 and PT11.0.3 and 003Rack Mac OS X 10.8.4 other Issue is MTC output. I'm back to 10.3.7 with same session and machine it's no problem. I'm use 2 PT systems for running a show in theatre and I hope this issue it's fix as soon as possible.

Hello,

I just upgraded from PT8 to PT11 and now I am having the same low latency monitoring issues with PT11 and 003 Console. I am using Win 7 x64.

Anyone able to fix this yet? I use PT for song writing and not being able to monitor tracks while playing is really killing me. :mad:

Any other ways to monitor?
