converting Sd2 files to wav on mac?
 

any one know a simply way to convert old projects or just sd2 files in to wavs? I have some recalls to do with have old SD2 files .. I am on OSX v10 on my 2 main mac's

i can't even remember which version of Mac OS supported sd2 files

any help would be great, I do have an old G4 or G5 about somewhere I may try to fire that up and see what happens .

on Mac:
make a new session > Import Session Data
will convert on import

If you just want to convert SDII audio files (as opposed to importing session data from a PT file), believe it or not, Digital Performer will convert the SDII audio files on import (I'm using 9.12). PT 12 will not. Go figure!

IIRC, PT will up to version 10.

Yep, well aware of that. Mostly I was pointing out the irony that the current DP release allows you access to the old Digi soundfile format whereas PT 12 couldn't be bothered. How hard would it have been, really, for Avid to at least continue to allow us to convert SDII files on import?

When I go to select the SD IIs to convert them, they are all greyed out (PT11) meaning I cannot select them

Pt 10 works for this sd2 to wav.
One of several...
Open in 10 save a copy convert all audio...
Although pt 10 has graphic issues past OS10.10 it remains a utility for me even in Mojave.
