Command 8 and PT11 - untested?

Hi - Anyone have any thoughts on Command 8 still working correctly in PT11?

http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/c...nd-Peripherals

Above link implies that it's untested but sounds odd. How can AVID not know if the drivers will work or not?

Well IŽd like to know that too. Because if it wont work then IŽd better sell it right now.

Not supported = Avid can't be bothered testing it, because the product is EOL and why would Avid carrying on supporting it, and if Avid did find a problem they'd probably be expected to fix it so they won't even test it ... blah blah blah.

That's it basically, anything that Avid says is not supported is simply stuff they have not included in the testing scheme. It may work, and then again, it may not.

As opposed to the 'will not work' section, which means they have tested it (presumably hoping that it would get into the supported list) only to find its broken. And they are not prepared to invest the time and effort required to produce a fix.

This let us with the "try and error" test. Gotta wait until PT11 is released and someone checks Command 8 functionality with the newest PT version.
