Ediload sound conforming (Sound rushes)

Hey everyone,

As many of you will know, ediload can use an edl from an editors cut and then create a pro tools conform track which links back to sound man rushes dropping down all the channels of the poly wav.

It's very clever but I was wondering what kind of EDL you guys get from your editor to have it work? Can anyone share the exact parameters? I asked for a CMX3200 (something like that!) but I'm aware there are many parameters in the avid edl exporter. Can anyone share their export details so I know exactly what to ask the editor for in future?

Thanks a lot for any help!

Format: CMX_3600 or SMPTE File32 if Tape names are longer than 8 characters (when available)
Sort Mode: A (Record In)
Reel ID Type: Tape
Dupe List Type: None
Show: Clip Names - checked
Optimization: Dissolves as Cuts and Wipes as Cuts - checked

Thanks for asking. I'll update the user guide with this information.

The main thing is that the Roll Names that appear in the EDL match the Sound Roll metadata in your location WAV files. This is covered in the EdiLoad user guide under 'Conforming Location Audio'.

Regards,

Mark

How rude of me not to get back to you sooner.

Thanks so much for your explanation. Obv's this is an audio EDL for sound rushes - when we ask for a video EDL to accompany a new picture cut i'll also ask them to stick to these paramters as much as possible also.

Thanks a lot!
